PRP  (Platelet Rich Plasma), and the newer, more powerful version SCP (Super Concentrated Platelets) are treatments that use your own blood component, platelets.

Platelets contain powerful growth factors which, when released can stimulate the stem cells contained in your tissues, thus resulting in powerful healing and rejuvenating effects. Because of this ability to stimulate healing and rejuvenation, PRP and SCP are used for a variety of conditions, such as:

Of course, all the benefits of PRP come from the growth factors released by the activated platelets and not the plasma in which the platelets are suspended.
